Where to Eat in Toronto

As a large multicultural city, the food options in Toronto are diverse and endless. Whether you want Japanese, Greek, Indian or any other ethnic cuisine, Toronto has just the place to satisfy your cravings. Being born and raised in Toronto, I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in the city, and these are just a few of the ones that never disappoint.

As a sushi lover, I have tried dozens of Japanese restaurants, most of which had great reviews, but still ended up lacking in flavour or freshness. My favourite to date is Gonoe Sushi. I have been there countless times and the fish is always exceptionally fresh and delicious. They have lots of options, so there's something for everyone. I love anything spicy so the Diablo Roll is one of my go to rolls.

All my life I've thought I wasn't the biggest fan of Thai food, until I tried Sukho Thai. Their food is incredible. There isn't a thing on the menu I've tried that wasn't absolutely delicious. They deliver, and if I lived downtown, I have no shame in saying I would be ordering from them weekly. They use high quality ingredients and the recipes are authentic. My favourites are the Garlic Chicken, Khao Soi and Pad Thai.

Let's face it who doesn't love a great burger? Holy Chuck doesn't just deliver great burgers, they deliver high quality and original burgers. You won't find any boring burgers here and their name isn't the only catchy thing about the place. All their burgers are creatively named like The Village Cow, The Raging Bull and a couple dozen more. They have original flavour combinations and the meat is ground in house. No mystery meat here! Be sure to give yourself extra time when coming here, because I can guarantee you will spend a good 20 minutes trying to decide which burger you want, because you will undoubtedly want to try them all.

This fusion restaurant has you covered no matter what kind of food you like. Joey has classics like burgers and steaks, and some killer Indian, Japanese, and Chinese dishes. I happened to try the Japanese Gyoza appetizer when they were giving out samples to people waiting for a table a couple of years ago, and I haven't been here once since then, without ordering them. I am shamelessly addicted to their Gyozas. Their Tuna Salad is also a favourite of mine. There's so many appetizers that I love here, that I usually end up ordering a couple of appetizers instead of a main course.

And now I'm hungry! What are some of your favourite places to eat in Toronto? Let me know if there's any you think should be on this list. Happy eats!
